TOUR ROWING FOR SMALL BOATS, SPECIAL BOATS, SULKAVA LONG BOATS AND CANOES 70 KM
(starts from Rowing stadium)
Thursday-Friday at 10.00 and 11.00 a.m.
Saturday-Sunday at 9.30 and 10.00 a.m.

In the tour rowing will be rowed approximately 70 km during two days. The tour goes around the isle of Partalansaari and starts from the village of Sulkava (the Rowing stadium) and continues to Hakovirta – Kietävälä Varviranta and back to the village of Sulkava (Rowing stadium).

On the first day will be rowed approximately half of the journey all the way to the great camping area of Varviranta, where the overnight stay will take place. At the camping area there will be organised some evening entertainment. Within the area it is possible to use your own tent. The tents and all the other equipment needed will be transferred from the starting point to the camping area of Varviranta by the organiser. After the night the equipment will be returned to the starting point again by the organiser.  The rowing continues on both days, Friday and Sunday, at 8 a.m. and the rowers have to be back at the Rowing stadium by 2 p.m.

On the tour rowing the model, the material and the type of the seat of the boats or canoes is free.

SMALL BOATS, SPECIAL BOATS AND CANOES 60 KM

Saturday:
couple rowing at 8.30 a.m
single rowing at 8.45 a.m.
bi-stroke, special boats and canoes at 9.00 a.m. 

In all the small boat categories on Saturday the route of app. 60 km will be rowed around the isle of Partalansaari. The route starts from Hakovirta, continues to Kietävälä and returns to Sulkava village (Rowing stadium). All the participants will be timed and in all the categories (excluding the special boats) the best ones will be rewarded. The rowers who participate in the Finnish Championship -rows will be awarded with FC-medals approved by the Finnish Canoe and Rowing society.

NIGHT ROWING RACE FOR SULKAVA LONG BOATS 60 KM
(starts from Hakovirta)
Friday at 16.00 p.m.
Saturday at 16.00 p.m.

At the long boats’ night row the route of app. 60 km will be rowed around the Partalansaari. The race starts from Hakovirta, continues to Kietävälä and finishes at Sulkava village (Rowing stadium).

Both night rows are racing rows. In the Saturday race will be resolved also the Finnish champion in three categories: men, women and mixed. The rowers who participate in the FC-rows will be rewarded with FC-medals approved by the Finnish Canoe and Rowing society. The organizer will reward five best teams in the Friday's race and three best teams in the Saturday's race. The teams have to finish the race by 1 a.m.

SATURDAY OPEN RACE FOR SULKAVA LONG BOATS 60 KM

Saturday at 8.00 a.m.

In the long boats’ Saturday row will be rowed around the Partalansaari. The race starts from Hakovirta, continues to Kietävälä and finishes at Sulkava village (Rowing stadium).

SATURDAY OPEN RACE FOR SULKAVA LONG BOATS 70 KM

Saturday at 9.00 a.m.

In the long boats’ Saturday longer row will be rowed for the second time ever a non-stop race of 70 km. The route starts from the Sulkava village (Rowing stadium) and continues via Hakovirta – Kietävälä – Varviranta – Sulkava village (Rowing stadium).

HAKOVIRTA 20 KM RACE FOR SMALL BOATS, SULKAVA LONG BOATS, SPECIAL BOATS AND CANOES

(starts from the Rowing stadium)
Sunday at 11.00 a.m.

The Hakovirta 20 km race is a laid-back and relaxed rowing opportunity for small and long boats as well as for canoes. It is meant as a familiarisation with the sceneries along the rowing route and with the particular atmosphere of the Finnish summer. The tour starts from the Sulkava village (Rowing stadium) and the rowers will return back to the rowing stadium via Hakovirta. All the participants will be timed and among them will be drawn prizes. This race is not a competition.


FRIDAY 4 KM RACE FOR SMALL BOATS, SPECIAL BOATS AND CANOES
(starts from the Rowing stadium)
Friday at 15.00 p.m.

Friday 4 km race is a short laid-back and relaxed rowing opportunity for small boats as well as for canoes. The tour starts from the Sulkava village (Rowing stadium) and the rowers will return back to the Rowing stadium. All the participants will be timed and among them will be drawn prizes. This race is not a competition. 

 
BREAKING THE RULES

A team will be disqualified in the Sulkava Rowing Race if it takes part in any of the starts with a boat breaking the rules.
