Instructions for Registration

Registration for the Sulkava Grand Rowing Festival 2026 is managed through the digital Starttiin.fi system. Please follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth registration process for your team.

Important Information Before You Start

Championship Classes (SM):
Please note that registration for the Championship classes will open at a later date. These categories are reserved exclusively for licensed competitive rowers. If you are looking to compete in the SM series, please follow our official channels for the opening of the dedicated registration link.

International Concierge Service:
The digital registration system (Starttiin.fi) requires a Finnish personal identity code (henkilötunnus) for authentication. If your team manager or contact person does not have a Finnish ID, we provide a dedicated International Concierge Service to handle your registration manually. Simply email us at info@suursoudut.fi, and we will take care of the process for you.

1. The Registration System (Starttiin.fi & Suomisport)

  • System Access: Registrations are processed via the Starttiin.fi platform, which uses Suomisport for secure authentication.

  • Who Can Register Online: Any person with a Finnish personal identity code can act as the registrar (e.g., a team manager). This person does not need to be a participant but is responsible for the team’s details and payments.

  • Manual Registration: If you find the system difficult to navigate or lack a Finnish ID, please contact our International Concierge: info@suursoudut.fi

2. Choosing Your Category

  • Recreational Classes: For experience seekers, fitness enthusiasts, and adventure rowers. This category focuses on the unique atmosphere of the Grand Rowing Festival.

  • Championship Classes (SM): For licensed competitive rowers. As mentioned above, these categories require a valid competition license from the Finnish Rowing and Canoeing Federation and will open for registration later.

3. Registration Options & Boat Classes

You can register as an individual or as a full team:

  • Rowing Ticket (Soutupiletti): Buy an individual ticket, and we will place you in a 14-person Church Boat with a professional coxswain and a ready-made team.

  • Team & Unit Registration: Register a full crew for the following classes:

    • Small Boats: Single Rowing, Pair Rowing, Double Rowing.

    • Special Boats: Gig 4+, Coastal Rowing, Canoes, and Kayaks.

    • Church Boats: 10-seater or 14-seater (+ coxswain).

Important: Boat Rentals If your team needs to rent a boat, please check availability on our Boat Rental page or contact us before completing your registration. We strongly recommend ensuring that a vessel is available for your team before you commit to the registration.

4. Managing Participant Information

To complete the registration and for our statistics, the following information is required for every rower:

  • Full Name & Email Address.

  • Hometown / City.

  • Number of previous Sulkava 60 km / 70 km rows.

  • Updating Details: You can register your team even if your crew list is not yet final. The registrar can update participant names in the system until June 15th, 2026. Minor edits are possible via email until July 5th, 2026.

5. Payments & Policies

  • Payment Methods: Fees are paid during the registration process. We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) and Finnish online banking.

  • Binding Registration: All registrations are binding. Fees are non-refundable, but spots can be transferred to another rower if someone is unable to attend. https://www.suursoudut.fi/en/participate/price-list/payment-and-cancellation-terms/

  • Invoicing: If your organization or team requires an official invoice, please contact our office before registering.
