Lempeä Sauna & Design Hub – Relax, Recharge & Experience Lake Saimaa

Sauna

At Lempeä Sauna & Design Hub, the Finnish sauna experience meets the rhythm of the Grand Rowing Festival. During the main event days (Friday–Saturday, and partly Sunday), the sauna area transforms into a relaxed lounge space for rowers, offering a place to unwind, recover in sauna, and connect after time on the water.

For other visitors, the sauna is available on Thursday and Sunday with separate sauna tickets, which can be purchased via our online store.

Bistro & Café Lempeä

The experience continues beyond the sauna. Bistro & Café Lempeä serves refreshing drinks, light meals, and summer flavors throughout the weekend – from morning coffee to evening cocktails. Just outside, a small shared wooden boat named Liplatus awaits. Oars can be borrowed from the café with a deposit, offering a unique chance to head out onto Lake Saimaa for a peaceful moment on the water.

Design store Marimakasiini

The Marimakasiini design store brings together Finnish design heritage and local craftsmanship. Inspired by iconic Finnish brands such as Marimekko, the store features carefully selected Nordic design products alongside regional delicacies from local producers.

Many of these products can also be tasted and enjoyed at the café. Whether you’re looking for souvenirs or meaningful design pieces, Marimakasiini invites you to take a piece of Sulkava with you.
